About the club:

What if humans could photosynthesize? What if leprechauns were actually real? We are a student-led organization that takes unconventional questions like these and turn them into real scientific discussions.

We are people who enjoy exploring a wide range of disciplines covering math, science, and many other broad fields. We follow our weird questions across whatever subjects are required to answer them, whether that be history, philosophy, chemistry, physics, etc. At our meetings, no prior knowledge or experience is required, all you need is your curiosity to participate. In fact, we encourage our students to work together across all age and experience levels. We want our members to collaborate in order to challenge their own ideas as well as learn new perspectives, all while building skills like teamwork and public speaking.

Meeting are structured in a biweekly system that alternate between two different “types” of meetings, choosing questions meetings, and discussion meetings. One meeting one of two, members will gather into groups of 2-4 and choose a what if question to present at the next meeting. During the second meeting two weeks later, groups will present their findings to the class, and the audience can either listen or potentially suggest alternative answers. This biweekly system ensures that all members have plenty of time to be fully prepared in answering/presenting their questions.

The club is still relatively small, but this is only in its early stages. We hope that the club continues to grow into a full scientific community of people who can really think outside the box, if you will.
