MEETING ONE — Introductory Meeting
Was held on August 24th, 2026 and briefly covered what the club is about with 15 members present. During the meeting two different what if questions were explored. “What if the Earth was as dense as a neutron star?” and “What if humans could photosynthesize?” The lead investigator was Simon Frye. MEETING TWO— Choosing what if questions
Was held on August 31st, 2026 and was where members assembled into groups and chose their first what if questions to explore. Four groups of 3-4 students were formed with each having their own question. 11 members attended.
MEETING THREE— Discussion Meeting
Was held on September 14th, 2026 and saw the very member discussions of topics. During the meeting one what if question was presented, and the other three groups’ questions were to be made up at a later date. The question presented was “What if leprechauns were real?” The lead investigators were Avery, London, and Lydia. Check it out here:
MEETING FOUR— Choosing what if questions
Was held on September 24th, 2026 and was another meeting where members chose their groups and what if questions. Unfortunately, the meeting fell on the Homecoming parade and had only one member show up :(. Regardless, students chose their questions and groups online instead. Groups stayed more or less the same and questions were chosen to be presented at the next meeting.
MEETING FIVE— Discussion Meeting
Was held on October 8th and featured two what if discussions with 10 attendees. The first one presented was by Jackson, Aadyn, Jason, and Jaxon, where Jackson was the lead investigator. They presented “What if we could create an inhaler that would provide all 12 vitamins?” The second presented was by Simon, who presented “What if humans’ hands and feet switched?” You can check them out here:
COMING SOON: MEETING SIX— Choosing what if questions
Will be held on October 22 and will feature the formation of discussion groups and the choosing of new questions! Be there or be square.
